Our AI initiatives were featured in the May 10 issue of the industry newspaper Kanagata Shimbun.
The article introduces the efficiency improvements and automation achieved through AI customized for each department, along with comments from our Executive Vice President, Kuno.
In 2024, our company established an AI utilization team and developed and implemented approximately 30 types of custom AI tools based on ChatGPT, including dedicated AI tools for dies and molds, sales, and administrative operations.
In building these tools, we utilized data from “IoT GO DX,” a service jointly developed with an affiliated company that is used to monitor equipment operating status and standardize operations.
Initially, the AI was configured to guide users directly to answers. However, due to concerns that this could reduce people’s ability to think independently, we replaced it with a system designed to support employees in reaching answers on their own.
The AI presents options, narrows down information based on the employee’s responses, assesses the current situation, and helps solve problems. This enables employees themselves to notice insufficient information or overlooked confirmation items that may be the root causes of issues occurring on-site. As a result, the system has contributed to improved productivity and strengthened on-site capabilities.
In addition, some operations are also being automated using AI. Looking ahead, we are also considering implementing AI in the “IoT GO DX” series currently on sale, as well as launching new services that will further evolve entire factories.
Furthermore, we will give a special lecture at INTERMOLD Nagoya 2026, where we will introduce examples of our AI utilization.
