On February 12, 2025, as part of the technical exchange of the Japan Die & Mold Industry Association Technical Committee, we held a factory tour at KUNO Kinzoku Industry Co.,Ltd., where I serve as the technical committee chairman. 27 participants and two secretariat members visited the tour and inspected the site of cutting-edge die manufacturing technology and production innovation through the use of DX.
The company tour of the technical committee chairman of the Japan Die & Mold Industry Association is an important opportunity that can be said to be a stepping stone for past chairmen, and this time many engineers and managers participated and there was an active exchange of opinions.
Our company is committed to "innovating manufacturing by combining people and DX" and manufactures and mass-produces press dies for automobiles. At the Toyoake Factory, which began full-scale operation in 2024, we are working to improve productivity and reduce environmental impact by utilizing cutting-edge automation and digital technologies.
[Main highlights of the tour]

[Participant comments]
・ "The consistent data management from mold design to manufacturing and mass production is fantastic. I was surprised that DX can be used to improve efficiency to this extent."
・ "The real-time visualization of production management using IoT was impressive. I felt that the system that allows you to see the status of the equipment at a glance will lead to improved efficiency throughout the factory."
・ "The automated line with 140 robots is highly complete, and I felt that to achieve this level of automation, not only technical ability but also many years of accumulated on-site improvements are necessary."
・ "Digitalizing the transfer of skills while maintaining and improving on-site capabilities will be an important direction for the future mold industry."
This tour not only provided an opportunity for participants to see our efforts, but also to gain ideas for new technological innovations through the exchange of opinions between participants. We will continue to strive to contribute to the development of technology and the industry.
