Mr. Kazuo Ohno, an advisor to the Machinery Department of Kuno Metal Industry, has received the 'Yellow Ribbon Medal', an autumn decoration in the fourth year of Reiwa.

Mr. Kazuo Ohno, an advisor to the Machinery Department of Kuno Metal Industry, has received the "Yellow Ribbon Medal", an autumn decoration in the fourth year of Reiwa.

Mr. Ohno joined the company in 1979 and, after being assigned to the prototype department, acquired skills in mold machining, mold design, and mold assembly. He has been involved in approximately 1600 parts and 8000 mold types that the company has produced so far, particularly contributing to a significant increase in production cost and efficiency for electric vehicle parts.

Electric vehicle parts include "complex high-precision parts" which are difficult to manufacture with press molds and have traditionally been manufactured by cutting. However, Mr. Ohno devised mold design and machining methods, realized the transition from cutting to pressing, and succeeded in increasing the conventional manufacturing cost and production efficiency tenfold.

Mr. Ohno was awarded the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare Award "Modern Master Craftsman" in 2018, and this Yellow Ribbon Medal honors his long-term technical contributions.
